Course Description

This course reviews the requirements for implementing a Quality Work Plan for the Department of Energy in the field of Weatherization. The purpose of this course is to consider and align state policies and procedures with recent changes to DOE requirements. Over 70 percent of the Testing Knowledge List (TKL) for the Building Analyst are discussed, practiced, and mastered during this training.

This course has 8 contact hours and qualifies as 4 continuing education units (CEU) toward Home Energy Professional Recertification.

Organization of Course

This is a lecture-lab course. Lecture topics are presented in the classroom setting followed by discussions in the lab. The class is appropriate for students who have had a basic introduction to weatherization training. Student participation in discussions is very important. This course is graded as pass/fail.

The course is evaluated on attendance.
